One of the most noticeable changes in Windows Vista over XP is the translucent interface Microsoft calls Aero, I just call it refreshingly beautiful. To long have we looked at other operating systems and longed for their sleek lines and transparent windows. Well now we have our own.

What many people don’t know is that you can customize many aspects of this new interface. You can change the color, vibrancy and even the level of transparency.

Change the Screen Resolution in Windows Vista

To change the screen resolution in Windows Vista, follow these steps:

Right click on an empty part of the desktop and left click on Personalize.
Click on Display Settings in the new window that pops up.
Move the Resolution slider to the left or right depending on your needs.

To change the screen resolution in Windows XP, follow these easy steps.

Step by step text instructions.

Right click on an empty section of your desktop and left click on Properties.
In the new windows that has come up, click on the Settings tab at the top.
You will see the Screen Resolution Bar below, drag it to the left or right until you reach the desired resolution.

In this Tutorial I will cover how to change the transparent window shading in windows 7.

Here are the steps:

Right click on the desktop and click Personalize.
In the new windows that pops up, click Window Color found at the bottom of the screen.
Select desired color and Intensity.
Click Save Changes and exit to desktop.
